Prakash Jha's political career
Prakash Jha is a well-known and big name in the world of film direction. 'Hip Hip Hurray', released in 1984, was the first film directed by him. After that he presented many excellent films on screen. From 'Gangajal' released in 2003 to 'Raajneeti' released in 2010, there are many other names which are counted among his best films.

Contested elections thrice
Prakash Jha belongs to Champaran district of Bihar and he has contested the Lok Sabha elections from his own constituency. In the year 2004, he contested elections for the first time. He had contested the elections as an independent candidate from Champaran. Although he had to face defeat. In the year 2009, he once again tried his hand from West Champaran seat, but this time not as an independent, but on behalf of Lok Janshakti Party. However, this time also he got defeated.

IAS wanted to start a family
