Recently the teaser of Bhumi Pednekar's film 'Bhakshak' has come. This is heartbreaking. In this, Sanjay Mishra is in the lead role with him. It is being produced by Shahrukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainments. Pulkit has directed it. He has previously directed web series like Bose: Dead or Alive. The film will be released on Netflix on 9 February.

The film is based on the Muzaffarpur Shelter Home rape case. This matter came to light in 2018. In this, incidents like sexual abuse, rape and torture happened more than once with the girls living in the girls' home. After medical examination of the girls living there, it was found that 34 out of 42 girls were physically abused several times.

How was it revealed?

Actually, there is an institution in Mumbai, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). It does social audit. On the orders of the Social Welfare Department of the Government of Bihar, it conducted a social audit of all the girls' homes in Bihar in 2017-18. It submitted a 100-page report. On its page number 51, it was claimed that girls are being sexually exploited in the Girls Home Service Sankalp and Development Committee running in Muzaffarpur. In the report, it was recommended to register a case against this NGO. After this, the government got its investigation done on the basis of this report. In this, what was said in the TISS report proved to be true.

When the investigation started, it was found that one of the raped girls was only 7 years old. Apart from this, medical examination also confirmed the pregnancy of three girls. Meanwhile, a girl told the police that when a girl protested against the wrongdoing, she was beaten up. He was beaten so much that he died. After his body was found in the bathroom, he was buried in the litchi garden by the child protection home. The girls had told the court that the most terrifying day for them was Tuesday. Those girls used to have counseling on Tuesdays. In the name of counselling, they were taken outside, where they were harassed.

Girls were supplied to big officials

CBI made 21 accused in this case. Of these, 10 were women, who not only kept hiding the cruelty being done to the girls of the girls' home, but also kept torturing the girls to keep them silent. Not only this, everyone from the cook to the gatekeeper posted in the Muzaffarpur Girls Home were accused of raping the girls. Brijesh Thakur was the director of Muzaffarpur Shelter Home. He was the main accused in this case. More than six girls here had accused him of rape. The allegation was that he used to supply girls from here to even big officials. For this he had built his safe houses in Muzaffarpur and Patna.

In the film 'Bhakshak' being produced by Shahrukh Khan's company, some changes have been made in the events of the Muzaffarpur Girls Home incident. For example, the name of Muzaffarpur has been changed to Munavwarpur. Bhumi Pednekar has been shown as a reporter, who exposes this entire scandal.

Along with Bhumi, actors like Sanjay Mishra, Sai Tamhankar, Aditya Srivastava and Durgesh Kumar, who played the role of Bhushan in Panchayat, will be seen in 'Bhakshak'.
